NSW: Gun laws only to change if proven: Rees

NSW Premier NATHAN REES says he's prepared to make changes to gun laws .. but only
if it's proven stricter measures are needed.

His comes come after a spate of incidents involving firearms in the past week.

A 14-year-old died from gunshot wounds to the face and neck during a sleepover at a
rural property in Sydney's south-west on Saturday night.

His 14-year-old friend's been charged with murder after allegedly shooting him accidentally
before making a frantic triple-0 call.

In another incident .. a Sydney man is in a stable condition in hospital after being
injured in a drive-by shooting in the city's north west.

It was the first of three drive-by shootings reported within four hours early this morning.

Mr REES says he's sought a report on the incidents .. and is prepared to to make changes
to reduce availability or tighten up ownership laws .. if necessary.
